Great family owned business serving delicious Tamil food. Can't compare to GTA price/quality, but for Ottawa this place is great!! Definitely recommend if you want to try something new. They don't skimp on the spice, so let them know your preference - they are very accommodating and kind people. I personally recommend their veggie rolls! Have great options for vegans and vegetarians (and maybe gluten-free i.e. dosas).

Favourite place for takeout!!! Had there breakfast this morning! Really delicious and fresh. Tried the idly breakfast combo and it felt like heaven!!! Must try will come back soon
I was really curious to try the Parcel at Karuna Cafe!! And im so glad i did!! it was a package of surprise. Staff was amazing. Can't wait to bring more friends here!!
This is the best place to eat in Ottawa. The food is always fresh, healthy and made according to your taste. Always consistent and delicious. Try everything because it is all amazing. The staff are great and we love coming here. I would eat here every day if I could. PM Justin Trudeau should definitely try out this hidden gem!
I had egg and cheese dosa with spices!! It was amazingly delicious!! I have to say it was better than Cora’s breakfast!!
Ordered from this restaurant hoping to try something different (they have a very large menu selection). Most of the food I recieved was not very good. I did enjoy their dosa but it didn't come pre-stuffed. Overall quite disappointed with this experience.
It was so hard to find a place that serves Indian Breakfast in Ottawa. Came to Karuna Cafe with my friend and so glad I discovered this HIDDEN GEM. Ordered dosa and appam breakfast, it was a delight to see the amount of breakfast we got. Coffee or tea was also included!! Server was so kind to explain everything. In the end we also got payasam!! It was a nice way to cleanse our palette. Definitely coming back to try their lunch menu!!!
stopped by this place for only samosas but ended up ordering more, not only there samosas are awesome and really tasty, there hoppers are really good and soft super delicious. I personally love hoppers and i couldn't find the best place for it. Karuna Cafe is the best place for hoppers and the staff here are really nice. Must visit this place
