Best sushi I have tried in Ottawa. I didn’t take any photos unfortunately because we were very hungry. The presentation was as good, if not better, as flavour. Certainly will go back again and soon. Will take photos next time. Thank you Gourmet Sushi team!

A few of us ordered via Uber eats while at work and were very pleased. Great tasting sushi. Affordable sushi with generous size rolls filled with fresh ingredients. Their standard rolls come with 8 pieces vs the 6 pieces a lot of other sushi establishments have. They have a great variety of rolls and other item menu available. All of us loved what we ordered and would order again in future. Only problem we had was that all the rolls were placed in 3 party trays which made it hard to divide up amongst everyone and figure out which rolls were which, especially with COVID.
I've tried many sushi restaurants in Ottawa, and I can confidently say — Gourmet Sushi is THE best sushi restaurant in Ottawa! Everything is great about their sushi — always fresh, great presentation, good portion size, and the most important — the sushi is delicious! So far (during COVID lockdown in Ontario) I've only been ordering online, but can't wait to visit the place in person.
We have ordered from this place 5 times now and each time the food is excellent, super fresh, and really well executed. The platters have great variety and we highly recommend the aburi scallop torched roll. This time the restaurant also included a couple of surprise treats which we really appreciated. We hope to continue to order from them for a long time. Thank you!
So happy to have found a great sushi place within walking distance of my apartment. I’m a bit picky when it comes to sushi, and this place delivered. The ingredients are fresh and well balanced. My favourite was the spicy salmon roll. I’ve ordered from here twice now and plan to return.
Good sushi with affordable prices. The sushi presentation is really nice and there’s so many rolls to choose. Their miso soup is yummy. The only comment I have is all the rolls I ordered tasted very very similar. The torch sushi rolls and nigiri, I know when ordering through uber will probably reach to me cold but it was still enjoyable! If you are craving sushi this is definitely a good place in the byward market!
Amazing, lovely, and friendly service! Really fast, well-made sushi. The sushi was decorated and placed beautifully as well. You definitely get your money's worth; there is a wide range of sushi's available at very affordable prices. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back.
So glad to have another sushi place in the market! I ordered four rolls and they were all great. It's very reasonably priced, very good portion sizes, and the people are friendly. Definitely ordering from here again :)
