I'm in a bachelor unit inside a cockroach invested building. The bathtub drain is shared with my neighbour's kitchen sink drain. Sewage will back up into my tub when plugged by the neighbour's greasy food. This latest time, I phoned the on-call number. The man on-call contacted me after being dispatched. I explained there was sewage in my bathtub and I urgently had to bathe and leave. The man on-call for CLV started talking about how it will be hard to get a plumber to come since everyone is on holiday. I don't get a discount on rent when there's a holiday. That is not an excuse. They have tenants that could require urgent maintenance (a blocked tub full of sewage is urgent) at any time. When a tenant calls with an urgent message, they should be told a worker will be dispatched to make the repair right away—no matter the time or date. They should not be told the urgent repair might take a long time because we allowed everyone to go on vacation. Furthermore, after failing to give any estimate of when a plumber will arrive, I had to follow up to see if and when a plumber was coming. The CLV dispatcher and plumber were very pleasant and professional. My rating is based on the poor customer service I got when talking to the on-call employee and the overall condition of the unit/building. The musty smell of cockroaches is unescapable.

This has honestly been a pleasant experience, and I can't think of any other company that has been as responsive and courteous. I have lived in a couple other apartment complexes and from the lease signing to leaving, they were nightmares. It was such a relief to deal with people who seem to genuinely care about renting to us and helping us with the thousands of questions we had.
Everyone at the CLV group is really helpful. I've had a great experience with them. They've made moving easy!
Currently going through the renting process with CLV Group and it is one of the most pleasant experiences I have gone through so far. I have been working with Nick and he has been patient and very informative with every question I have had to ask regarding the buildings. I was initially looking at a different unit than the one I have applied for and when it wasn't what I was looking for, he immediately took what I was saying I was looking for and directed me to the unit I eventually went with. Very pleasant and very personable.
My experience all started with Andrea at CLV group recommending me Arbor Village, matching my budget and location preferences. I viewed this unit, and signed the papers right away! The employees at CLV group are very accommodating and helpful. I Moved in September 1st and it's been a pleasant experience since.
I've thoroughly enjoy living here, the staff have been nothing but pleasant and the building is quiet most of the time. Definitely recommend!

We lived for a year in the apartment (1276 Dorchester Ave). It was a nice place to stay: affordable, spacious and clean apartment. The area around is also good, small shops, school and community center in a walkable distance. Not far away from the Carleton University (I was walking to CU through experimental farms). The manager - Silvio and the CVC group team in general are very responsive. We feel comfortable to call him and girls from the office when we had questions and they could assist us properly. The winter was very snowy, but we did not feel any discomfort, because all clean ups were very timely. The only suggestion, I have, it would be great to have a space available for bicycles and baby-wheelchairs... I will certainly try to rent the CVC group apartments next time too.
