Adopted my dog from them about two years ago, they were extremely kind and helpful with the adoption and I have no complaints! My dog is happy and healthy and I am so glad I adopted her. I have cats and the staff were very helpful with testing the dog by taking her near the catio to gauge her reaction to cats. Turns out she loves cats and she is very happy living with them! She had some issues with other dogs and the staff was very upfront with me about any behavioural issues she might have! I really recommend this place, they go above and beyond to learn about the animals in their care and find the best suited home for that animal.

We just adopted a sweet cat from FAS. The care and knowledge of animals is so clear. They really want the best for the animals. Love the Catio!

Did a total of 6hr drive and was kind of disappointed. Not rude but not really welcoming either, we bought big bag of dog food to donate they answered with \just that?\ Then demanded we donate money... but we just spend 60 on gas and 20 on dog food and 6 hrs of our day driving there because it was suppose to be such a great place. It is a nice place but if we would have known we wouldnt have driven 6 hrs... maybe its different when you adopt but to bring an animal there wasnt a great experience, we felt judged and not 'accepted' there.

Great loving people. Strongly recommend that shelter if you're looking to adopt, support or donate. The shelter is one of the best I have seen with lots of space, not overcrowded, very clean, they have a doggy park... The cats are kept in a very nice big place that is a bit \home-like\, also very clean. Bref that's a really nice place! Be careful there is another shelter in VT USA under the same name. Don't mix them up this one is in Quebec CA.
