The service wasn't that good - the server took a really long time to clean the plates from our table and took forever to bring/refill water. The food was your typical Chinese buffet food. The chicken wings were good when they were brought out fresh. My husband liked the chicken balls. The only thing I cared for was the sago dessert, to which I added coconut ice cream to make it awesome. Apparently the price was 7 cheaper than Mandarin so my parents liked that.

Food was good however it was room temperature and some were a bit cold as well. I think it may be because my family and I came a little late. The service was really good and the staff was welcoming and friendly. It's a family friendly restaurant where the son (i think) led us to our table.

My lunch visit here on Tuesday was mediocre at best. I’ve been coming here for the past few years and they’ve been great up until they switched managements. The manager (who may also be the owner) was rude, the servers had some sort of attitude towards the customers, and worst of all, they were unapologetic to the fact that they were rude as hell. Food wasn’t bad, but since the selection shrunk, the food can be considered mediocre. Some of the food items, like their curry, was cold. At the end, I don’t recommend this place to anyone who may be willing to spend a bit more money to go to some other buffet place, and still get decent service and decent food.

Lunch visit. The waitress was great. And that’s about the only nice thing I have to say. Suffice it to say, the comments about food not being refilled are true. The host didn’t seem to happy to have another customer. Hmmm. Food had been sitting out forever. Several plates remained empty throughout the visit. My favourite was the sushi chef who, instead of filling empty sushi plates at his station, was sitting playing with his phone—also throughout the visit. Once again, the table service was friendly and attentive but, in all other regards, you’re better off dining at Dragon Pearl, Mandarin or even the Scarborough Buffet.

This is called Wu's now, not Golden Light anymore. The experience was by and large positive, with enough selection to be filling and enjoyed. As of today, Mondays and Fridays are priced at 9.99 per adult so their prices for lunch are pretty hard to beat. The only complaint I can think of is that they didn't restock some of the dishes after they ran out, like sweet tofu dessert.

Absolutely terrible food and mediocre service. We went on a Saturday evening, and the restaurant wasn't packed - it was bare bone empty to the point they didn't have someone at the front to seat individuals or anyone at the bar. This is normally the owner or manager and they were found standing next to the buffet, just standing. The only time I've seen them do actual work is when they hand the bill to guests and impatiently stands there to see how much of a tip if provided to their limited staff. In terms of staff, among the 10 tables that were in our area, there was one single waitress - I felt so horrible for her. Assuming she is the daughter of the boss, she had not to only wait on the 10 tables in our area, but also the dining area next to ours as well. I've overheard other guests and they had the same reaction - not enough food, and not enough staff on hand. Food was mediocre at best. Limited options and took forever to refresh and refill. There were no redeeming factors - sushi selection was minimal, peking duck was cold and bland (although a fresh duck comes out, they serve the one sitting there for 40 minutes and this repeats the cycle again); minimal plates to use and it was just a disaster overall. 20 per person - came out unsatisfied with what was served.

The first impression you get when you come in is that there aren't a lot of people in the restaurant, which isn't great. The decor isn't particular remarkable either. The price isn't all that expensive, but the food isn't great. The food is passable but they have to use less oil, everything is super greasy. The ice cream taste good but they aren't made by the restaurant. I think this restaurant has some good potential but they have to start using less oil and better service.
