Tonight my elderly step dad who suffers from Dementia was brought to Humber River hospital after a bad fall. Unfortunately the injury and pain caused his Dementia symptoms to worsen and he started to be aggressive and violent to the nurses and Officer on duty. The Officer, whose name I didn't catch, not only tried to deescalate the situation and protect the staff but he showed great compassion for my step dad and I. He even let me know he and his family were going through similar challenges. It was a horrible night but I appreciated the help and the care the Officer showed and just wanted to say thank you. It meant a lot.

My father was victim of a car jacking. Got a phone call from a constable who was nice enough to leave a voicemail with a contact number directly to the major crimes unit. No one answered the phone so I got their automated attendant. Please press such and such if you know the party's first and last name... Well, I only had the last name and I doubt very much the officer's name is Constable,but I tried anyway. It gave me a completely unrelated person. I tried calling again, this time opting for the general voicemail which I couldn't do because the mailbox was full... I called 31 Division directly and explained the situation to a very RUDE woman / officer who seemed very annoyed having to answer the phone. I asked if the constable I was looking for had a voicemail or an extension I could try if I provided a badge number. Several seconds of the silence and I of course asked if anyone was still there and she responded with a \just a moment\. She begrudgingly took a message which I hope arrives to its intended recipient. All the public asks is for the police to protect and serve and not be in the business of being stand offish and annoyed.

I was a victim of an attempted armed robbery by 4 gun-men. The officers from 31 division showed up. They were incredibly difficult to deal with, extremely rude, doubted my story, treated me like I was a suspect, wasted valuable time and only believed me after finding another person injured on scene. I wish nothing but the absolute worst upon all those officers I dealt with on that day for the added ordeal they put me through.
This division has been an amazing help to my staff, from the call takers to the officers and parking enforcement thank you for all you.
