It's very unfortunate that I had to write this review. I had brought in a crushable Stetson fedora for cleaning under the impression that the cleaning service at this shop would be the best in the city. When the hat was returned to me, the brim was curled up quite high and the crown was round - as if it were a bowler hat. The woman at the store assured me that I could simply push the hat back into the shape in which I had initially given it to them. After leaving, it felt as though the hat had become slightly larger and the brim no longer remained straight. After some time the brim became even more wavy and after bringing it to other shops in the city I was informed that the hat may have been stretched beyond it's original size. Recently, I brought my hat into JJ Hat Centre in New York City where I had originally purchased it. They had steamed it to the best of their ability but informed me that my hat had be mishandled and it was not possible to return the hat to it's original shape without re blocking it entirely. Unfortunately, after considering the cost of re blocking the hat and shipping from New York to Toronto, it would be cheaper to just buy a new hat! This is all very unfortunate because The Hatter was supposed to have been the authority on hats of this type in the city and they failed to deliver. I deeply regret taking my hat to this business because it meant a lot to me and, due to negligence, my hat had been altered without my consent and is worse than it had been before the cleaning. If I had known this would happen before I have them the hat, I would have lived without cleaning it. I regret having conducted any business with The Hatter. I would not recommend their cleaning services and unfortunately, because they did something so reckless, I would not recommend any of their services.

Lots of selection and friendly helpful staff
Fantastic specialty shop with knowledgeable staff who make excellent suggestions. Over 30 years, with my large head I can always find some hats that I like. Fedoras before and Panama Hat today. Will be looking at winter hats here come fall.
Finally found the hat I had been searching for. Great selection!
