Used to shop here any time I was looking for a good scotch, the staff always had the best suggestions and for a private store the prices weren't bad. Hadn't been in since I moved and I go in to find the majority of the staff has changed, the selection has dwindled, and the prices are ridiculous. Definitely no longer worth the trip. The staff was nice, but the place just isn't how it used to be.

Certainly a different feel from the old location but lots of items for sale. When it first opened I found the beer selection limited and lots of empty shelves but that is fixed now. Prices are higher than other places for some item for sure but it is convenient.

First class, top notch expierence. Great local store with scotches you cannot find anywhere

I used to love this place. Even right when they first moved, they were even better. But the last time I was there, right before Christmas, I was unhappy with the secretly increased prices of the things I bought. I bought a 4 pack of craft beer and a 4 pack of cider and they both rung up at 5 more than the shelf price. That was 10 more combined. I was in a rush and didn’t even notice until I left the store. I didn’t bother going back to ask about it since it happened to both items so likely it wasn’t a mistake. I can’t shop there with confidence anymore as I just don’t trust the prices. Also, the beer I bought, which totalled to 20, I can get for 13 at BC Liquor so really no reason for me to buy from Mountainside.

Great selection, super convenient for us to go to living locally but 50% more expensive on a bottle of Veuve. B.C. Liquor store selling it at 72 where as they sold it to me at 106. As much as we are all about supporting local businesses and don’t mind paying a little more, I won’t be supporting at those gross inflated prices.
