It is with great gratitude and pleasure that we recommend EW Architecture, Erica Wolowidnyk, principal. We were fortunate to be introduced to Erica by our contractor, who spoke highly of her abilities. Erica designed a full home renovation with some very creative additional floor space for us. We appreciated that she supported us fully throughout the entire renovation process: including building design, construction drawings, permit applications, interior design, lighting design, landscape design and construction to completion. Erica was innovative and realistic in her interpretation of our ideas while integrating them with her own concepts and remaining budget conscious. She demonstrated an impressive talent of being able to adapt to any required change in plans, with good, positive solutions in a timely fashion; so as not to delay construction. She maintained open lines of communication and collaborated regularly with our contractor and trades/suppliers as needed, as well as with us. Erica Wolowidnyk is a true professional. Her building, architectural and code knowledge is extensive and her attention to detail is remarkable. Her 2D and 3D computer design and model renderings were extremely helpful in allowing us to make the many decisions required prior to finalizing the overall design. She spends the time to assure her clients gets the design they want right down to every detail, but she also watches out for there budget as well. Very rare to see these days! When the time comes to build my own house i wouldn't consider anyone else!

We hired EW for a complete interior and exterior remodel of our split level home. We were first-timers to home remodelling, and from beginning to end we counted on Erica's guidance (and patience, and counselling) as we faced the thousands of decisions that go into a renovation. Erica took the time to understand our needs and preferences, and to apply that understanding to the design of a new house with open floor plan, higher ceilings, wood beams, and walls of glass in exactly the right places to capture the Vancouver light. The result is a house that feels like a perfect fit for our family, matching our tastes, our idiosyncratic likes and dislikes, in every way. Starting from the very beginning, Erica guided us skillfully through a variance process with the district that was necessary to achieve her architectural vision within the constraints of our pre-existing structure, then she made the permitting process as easy and painless as possible.
