Been to the BC aviation museum yesterday! Got an amazing insight on how Victoria airport was and its role in WWII. Commendable efforts by more than 400 volunteers in moving and restoring so many planes over the period of 20 years. My tour guide (Mr Norman) was a 80 year old charming guy who has more than 7000 flying hours under his hood in 25 airplanes and gave me a exclusive tour of many unseen artifacts. He had so many stories to share! 3 hours was just a finger snap in the museum! Highly recommend to visit if anyone hasn't yet!

British Columbia Aviation Museum We had a great time at the museum. I also had an excellent volunteer guide. Got to see FM104 Lancaster in the shop. Great World War 1 replicas (SE5 and the Neiuport 17). Great uniforms on display (RFC and RCAF). Plenty of scale models, photos and artifacts. Never thought I would see a hand made rug by Buzz Beurling. There is also a gift shop...
The BC Air Museum is a must see when in the Sidney area. Very well done, our guide John Flowers was informative, humorous & kept us interested. It’s amazing the amount of planes, artifacts & all the volunteers that keep the museum up to date & on going. Everyone of them was enthusiastic and willing to answer any questions.
We had such a lovely experience at the museum. The volunteers were so friendly and knowledgeable. Larry was amazing and got the kids involved with questions and fun facts. We will definitely be back.
Staff and volunteers are very friendly and helpful. Lots of great exhibits and history.
