Good we saw cannons fire and musket fire and we felt that we were in the war of 1812 because of musket fireing and canons fireing and the exbits and that was before covid

A fort that was invaded during the war of 1812. Not a big fort, I would say it's small enough to finish in about an hour. Costs about 12 for a ticket to enter. Has several exhibits of the barracks and quarters of the soldiers that would have fought and stood guard during that time. There's a musket firing demonstration at certain times and a talk about medicine during that time. Overall, it was a good dose of history for a summer afternoon, not too overwhelming. A good place to visit if you're in the Niagara on the lake area.

Being from the states, it was very eye-opening how the explained the war of 1812 from the British perspective. It seems like nether side was really the "good guys". But the amount of history they taught us in a short time was staggering, I still like to talk about all you needed was two teeth from each row that could tough each other and be so tall to join the British army. And the musket demonstration was amazing, I learned a ton and finally know what the "Fog of war" meant.

We were a party of 5. It was very informative. Way more than what we expected. All of the staff were extremely friendly and knew their stuff. Will definitely go again!
