My trip down from Penetanguishene was a wonderful experience. The owner was there to greet my mother and myself. My mom is 85 years old and during this pandemic does not venture very from from home, wearing a mask has become a normal process for all of us as does leaving our number for contact tracing. It's nice to see local store owners taking time to care about their customers not just for the shopping experience but for their health and safety We will be back your shop is awesome THANK YOU

I give this store the highest rating possible. Not only for the knowledgeable and friendly staff but for all the efforts being made to ensure the safety of their customers during this pandemic. If anyone has a problem with wearing face coverings, sanitizing or providing phone numbers for contact tracing, then they should just stay home.
My mother wanted to purchase yarn at this location. She was wearing a mask and fully sanitised, but was told to leave her name and phone number to be permitted to enter. My mother isn't keen to give private information to strangers, and she just wanted to buy something and leave, but the unfriendly employee/boss insisted on leaving the info. The storefront didn't display anywhere the need to give personal information, and we wonder if this policy is applied to all customers. This is the first time we encounter such a policy in Newmarket. Obviously, my mom left the store without purchasing anything. Everyone is trying their best to follow covid guidelines, but this is a personal breach of privacy. As customers, we respect your right to run your business how you believe, however we advise you that this offputting and unreasonable attitude will lose you customers.

I’ve been to Serenity Knits many times and have always found the staff to be more than welcoming and helpful, regardless of what I was wearing or looked like. Great spot, with a very comfortable, inviting, atmosphere.
