This company is seeking to profit off of the COVID 19 pandemic. We originally booked a wedding for this summer (2020) and paid a deposit a year and a half in advance. Due to the government restrictions we will not be getting married this summer as we had invited 180 guests. I reached out to Bob Hawkins to discuss a refund as we're not sure how long this pandemic will last and when we will be able to reschedule our wedding. They offered us a credit with an expiry date which does not work for us as we don't know what the next year or two will hold. All of our other vendors including our venue had no problem returning our deposits. I will not be doing business with this company in the future and will let everyone know about my bad experience. I would not recommend Bob Hawkins DJ to anyone.

Not a good experience on our wedding day with this business at all. We booked about 3 months out, I was assured we had lots of time to work with them and I trusted them seeing how they were a legit company not just a freelancer or hobbyist (although now I regret not hiring someone local and small scale). The DJ sent on our wedding day arrived 10 minutes prior to the ceremony, asked the bride where to set up, and delayed the ceremony by 10 extra minutes. Didn't follow the specific song request and was delayed on playing our departure song - we were at the end of the aisle and already past our guests by the time it played. Please note while reading this I thoroughly filled out the wedding questionnaire they provide you to ensure the DJ was on the same page as the bride and groom and knew what to do and where to be on the wedding day. This had all the song requests and little notes, timing and names listed. The DJ we has acted as if this form didn't even exist. Our dinner was late, our songs were brutally chopped, the DJ was extremely disorganized and played a Christmas song at a JUNE wedding! What is even more frustrating is we paid for 3 hours between the ceremony and dinner and received ZERO service. I have so much more to say but moral of the story, I wouldn't trust working with Bob Hawkins ever again.

I am so happy I went with this company for our wedding! The DJ was a big part of our night with excellent music and song mixing, he really played to the crowd and kept us dancing all night long! He was super friendly and listed the the bride & groom with their wishes throughout the night. Bob Hawkins is very easy to communicate with via email - Rob replies very quickly and insures that you can book an appointment if you feel necessary prior to your event. The DJ had the papers with him from the our questionnaire, and he followed it perfectly. I was even able to email Bob Hawkins songs from U Tube for the DJ to play specific version and it was great. We gave the DJ a minor role of being the MC as well, and he was fantastic, very subtle as I requested.. everything went great. There was only 1 downfall but I won't dock points for this, I did pay for a second set up for the ceremony (because it was suppose to be by the water, but due to high winds we last minute moved it to the grass) In the second set up we were suppose to have a mic, but during the ceremony we were not give the mic and I found out later that guest had a hard time hearing us. Again not fully the DJ's fault, but at the same time I am not sure why we weren't give the mic during the ceremony. Even with that minor thing being said, I really highly recommend this DJ service, if you communicate with the properly then you shouldn't have any issues, just great music for everyone to enjoy!

We had a great experience using Bob Hawkins for our wedding DJ! We coordinated the event through an easy and resourceful questionnaire to let the DJ know our styles and preferences for music, and they followed it perfectly! Song after song was just perfect! Before the event, whenever we had questions or requested to chat, they were always prompt and professional with their responses. Day of, Daniel was our DJ - he was wonderful. He checked in with us throughout the day to make sure we were happy, and our guests loved his music selection. He kept the music flowing from the ceremony through to the dance floor. Our dance floor was busy all night long and guests loved the music and style!
