Temporarily Closed. Opening approximate date, February 21 2019 It's a "reliable" Chinese buffet. I've been going there for years. Weekend dinners are great if you are a shellfish lover; mussels with cheese, crab legs and extra shrimp. They used to have lobster, but that stopped over 10 years ago. Overall, you will get full, with good service.

With only one hour for lunch with a tour group this place is better than nothing. Food was okay and service is below par. The server prefers to memorize our drink orders instead of writing it down and ended up having to make three trips to get everything right. Simply put, don't expect too much and I hope they dont charge a lot for this place.
I got there 30 minutes after they opened, thinking that the best variety would be available. Most of the food was warm but very few items were hot. Perhaps the steam tables were not heated up properly but we also suspected leftovers from the day before. This was my second visit. The first time I went, the food was okay but a little salty (MSG?). That time we were seated by a window that hadn't been cleaned in a long time. There was dried food and dirt in which I wrote" wash me". There were spiderwebs on the ceiling and the whole dining room looked neglected by the cleaning crew. This time it was cleaner, but the dining room smelled of bleach. I would recommend that you visit Eclipse Buffet on Innes Road instead. There the selection is better and the food is always fresh and seasoned properly. The food is made in smaller batches by someone who can cook. The dining room is always clean and the staff are friendly when you speak to them.
We went a bit late and stayed until closing. The food here is pretty decent; nothing to write home about. Standard Chinese buffet selection, so do not expect to see anything different here. However, the wait staff were very nice and accommodating despite it being so close to closing time and that's what bumps this from an average 3 star to a 4.

The last time we were there was nearly a year ago for our anniversary, we stopped going because of the poor quality of food. Every time we go it gets worse. My wife being pregnant with a craving we decided to try it again. The meat was so old it was like trying to chew on rubber or jerky. My 3yr old attempted some onion rings which were stale and hard to chew, pizza which was so old he couldn't even bite a piece off and the french fries were stale and cold. After eating my mother in law was sick in the parking lot. There was nothing good about the food at all. 20 for that buffet is not worth it. Then you get charged 1.50 per 100g wasted but you can't eat it because you cant chew it. The only good thing about the restaurant is the promt service.
Great Asian buffet with lots of choice for all pallets. The food is fresh, warm, tasty but a bit salty. When you see Asians go to these restaurants, you have a good chance of having great food. This is one of those restaurants. Oh and by the way, a bit pricey at 30 for lunch for 2.
Be careful to read the fine print about the free birthday dinner... big splashy picture on page 1 but on page 3 the fine print says that you need six people at the table to get the free birthday dinner... we had five! Other well known buffet restaurants offer free birthday dinner if only TWO people are at the table (eg Tucker’s Market Place). On positive side, the food is pretty good and many Chinese patrons means it is good Chinese food. Ian R.
