We purchased a 2018 Santa Fe XL Premium from Hyundai on Hunt Club and were very pleased with the Sales Dept. My problem is with the Service Dept. When we took delivery of the vehicle it was covered with a greasy film. The lot guy said it was a problem with the car wash system and yet they used it anyways. He cleaned it the best he could with a wet rag but when we took the vehicle to get it detailed, because of the grease and garbage left under the seat, the first thing the detail shop asked was "what did you spray on your car?" After having the vehicle for a week we got our first rain and I discovered that all windshield wipes didn't work. They just smeared the water over the windshield. I figured seeing out the windshield during the rain was a safety item so I took it back to the dealership to talk to service. I then discovered that the service counter wanted me to book an appointment, for wiper blades, on a car they did a safety on only a week earlier. So I said fine lets book one. He said I had to phone to make the appointment. I'm standing right there, in the dealership, talking about a safety issue on a car they certified safe and they want me to make an appointment by phone to replace wiper blades. I worked as a service writer and a parts manager and Hyundai on Hunt Clubs service business model is the worst I've ever seen. Changing wiper blades can be done by the service writer, lot boy, parts clerk or a mechanic between jobs. This is a prime example of process before common sense or customer service. We wont be taking our vehicle there for service.

I went in for my scheduled service 2 as per their guidelines as well as for a wobble on the passenger side. When I arrived I was advised I was due for service 3 which I had recently completed and was not due for another 6,000KM. The clerk insisted I never completed service 3. I requested access to my vehicle to get my records which was denied, she offered to print it for me, she only printed off my most recent service. I was adamant that service 3 was not yet required but it was completed anyways. I also questioned why my tires were not balanced upon installation her response “that’s not something we do”. A visit which should have cost me next to nothing ended up costing me near 450. I now have little trust in the staff at the Huntculb location.

Service rep was a bit pushy to upsell more service but was going to add about 1600 to the bill. I just needed an oil change so I referred to get it done later.

Brought my car for oil change and ended up spending over 700 for the brake service, new rotors and brake pads, which I was told needed to be replaced, otherwise they would not service the brakes. Because of the safety concern, I had to believe the parts were due for replacement. However, I find additional charges for "consumables" x 2 (for each service), 5 for hygiene, plus additional cost for grease and lubricant, excessive. When you offer a brake service package worth of hundreds of dollars, surely it must include the cost of lubricants. I have a standard economy size vehicle, not a pick-up truck or an SUV. How much more grease and consumables were used that I had to be charged extra for?! To top it all off, when I brought the car home, I opened the hood and noticed that the fluids were not topped up, as they should have been; coolant and windshield washer were at their lowest. Made me wonder what else was missed. So, I had to drive back again to the shop, spending more of my time and gas, and wait for them to finish what should have been taken care of the first time. Disappointing, to say the least.

BEWARE: they are charging 5 for "PPE" equipment, which includes a mask and gloves, which only cost pennies. Came here for an oil change, was told a few of my brake tail lights were out. Asked how much it would cost, they said 3 per bulb and 50 labor. I said okay fix it. They call me back saying they cannot access my tail lights from my trunk, and they need to repair the "trunk housing", which costs 200. I laughed out loud on the phone because I knew this was 100% a scam. I bought the bulbs, watched a Youtube video, accessed my tail light bulbs from my trunk very easily, and changed all the lights by myself in less than 15 minutes. 0 labor costs. I feel bad for the customers who don't know better about their cars and are tricked into these gullible charges.
