BEST RANCH EVER! We did a trail ride with 2 magnificent horses and we quickly realized how caring is the team. We chose to stay 2 nights and we were overwhelmed by the owners' hospitality. Waking up in the pasture in this 2020 fall season was a delight. Can't recommend this place enough! Thank-you to Bev & Gerd, much love!
The horses were absolutely beautiful. Just wish my saddle was on a little tighter felt I was sliding around on the horse. I asked for the staff if I could have it tighter they said no. Also while riding I’d try to turn the horse away from the side the tree and kept getting smacked with branches. it was okay experience.
Jeannie was a fantastic trail guide, very professional, friendly, knowledgable! Perfectly matched each one of us with a horse that was suitable to our abilities! Plenty of variety in trails & well mannered horses. Will definitely return again!! Thank you Jeannie!
Had a wonderful time here! Enjoyed a trail ride and the breakfast chef was able to accommodate our special diets (keto). Third time visiting and will return every year! Bev and Gert are wonderful hosts!
Kind of disappointed- someone fell off their horse at the beginning of a 2hour ride Didn't turn bsck to just drop them off. We ended up doing circles around the ranch and side road ditches. No offer on a discounted ride for next time.. so no views or trails like I expected.. the horses were sweet Guide was grumpy. Should come with some knowledge as there isn't a lesson for very new riders.
I took my 10 year old daughter there on a Saturday for her first ever horse ride. We went on an hour long trail ride with Allison as our guide. All of my expectations were met and exceeded! Great instructions given before the ride, amazing horses and an over all wonderful experience. I highly recommend this Ranch to anyone wanting a laid back and relaxing ride. If you are a beginner, look no further, give these people a call; you won't regret it!
I treated myself to a wonderful stay at the Ranch on 1/7 to 1/10. Bev & Chief Gerd Voigt were warm, gracious and fun hosts! I felt welcome the moment I got to the ranch. The food was a real treat! Gourmet and filling! The coffee was the real deal! Espresso and in large coffee mugs. Absolutely the best! Breakfast was my favorite time. My room was extremely clean and comfortable as was the bed! After a fun and much anticipated ride with Bev on the trails, I had a fabulous, hot bath that night and slept well in my cozy bed. A few of the horses were whining to each other, it was music to my ears as I feel asleep. The community area has all you need to prepare food if you wish, a full-sized refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave a dining area a large screen TV, there is even a sauna! (All on their website.) My sweet collie Dannyboy was also welcome, he made friends with Bev and Gerd's sweet dogs. It was a joy to walk around the Ranch, say hello to the many horses and get to know the Island. I was however happy to just stay on the Ranch it was so relaxing and peaceful. I will be back as 3 days was not long enough! I need to get back and photograph the Ranch and the many horses and get back in the saddle again! Thank you Bev & Gert, I am grateful I got to spend time with you at your lovely and peaceful Ranch!
