I've almost always had great service here, until today. I went in to get a fishing license I was waiting in like a not really line but I was the next person at the counter. An older guy became free, however there was another guy that came in after me that he clearly wanted to help. I understand in customer service you don't always see who is next in so I didnt care that he called the other guy up first. But anyway I walk walk up because I was next and his entire demeanor changed from happy to what looked like angry. As he was helping me he was happily talking to the guy that was after me. Prior to helping me he seemed super friendly to the guy he was helping. I tried to make friendly conversation but he completely shut it down. Just bad customer service from this one guy, from what I can tell from other reviews he's sexist and is rude to mainly female customers. Didn't realize women can't fish in 2020. All the other workers are good. As well, there wasn't any social distancing either, and there was a sign asking to use sanitizer before entering but it was empty.

Great staff, who don't b******t their way through explanations. If they don't know the answer, they admit it, unlike another big sporting goods chain.

I started trout fishing last year, for something fun to do with the girlfriend and the kid. Only caught one. I have heard good things about this place from others I have met while fishing. So this year, with some good tips from these guys and some new gear I hope to catch a few more.

Good service , decent selection , and the sales person actually listened instead of spouting off their own opinion . If asked then they will give you a personal opinion without being pushy . One of my favourite hunting/fishing stores . Highly recommended .
