This is a remote place not every one knows or goes to hike. As a part of trans Canada trail its little confusing to access because as we drive to access the trail head there is a private property days to No trespassing. This board discourste many people in easy route. Once you go through this area there is a small place to park and hike to this location. It is beautiful we can safely (only if youbare experienced and strong) climb down to creek to enjoy the water and complete views of suspension bridge. Please dont go alone, take a buddy as a safety measure and to give company to each other. We can spend one complete day to explore further on trail. There will be ATVs driving in this area please use caution..

We followed Google maps to get here and the hike was nice, but short. We took the main trail to the bridge and then followed offshoot trails to get to the bottom. If you want a longer trail you take \The Great Trail\ this will have you park on Timberlands Rd, parking is marked with signage. Follow the orange markers and it will take you there.

Haslam Suspension Bridge. Also know as Mindys Bridge. Thanks to Renie Bertrand and his friends for building this bridge.Renie’s dog Mindy found this spot.Suspension bridges are always interesting places to explore around and take in the view. The Haslam Creek Suspension Bridge Trail is part of the Trans Canada Trail. The walk in to the bridge from the trail head is no more than 15 mins. The trail is reasonably flat and easy walking with some roots and rock to skip around. I didn’t go any farther than the bridge and hiked around below. An easy access to the river can be gained if you cross the bridge and go to the left.A well used path took me down to the river. At this time of year very little water and easy to get around. I’d like to come back here after a heavy rain fall because while I was below you can see Mother Nature is making some new sculptures of rocks and debris. I noticed other comments here complaining about directions. Check the rdn.bc.ca web site for maps and direction on this site. Play safe and have fun.
