Came to pick up my package at Hamilton Ontario location. The address is listed as 7000 something Airport Road. According to Google maps,you get off the bus and walk ac180 meters straight, same direction as the bus was traveling to your destination. The only bit of DHL on Airport Road is the sign and that was 180 meters in the opposite direction. There is then a long and winding road to the actual location, on a very cold day with a bit of a squall blowing snow and biting your face off. Then they didn't have my package. The staff were trying very hard to figure out what happened. They were caring and friendly. Lesson learned? When you order online and and you are thinking of paying extra for DHL Commerce, you are really getting Canada Post. Save your money. Why did I even make this trip? Because an email I received said I had to if I wished to receive my order. Apparently, several attempts had been made. I have a dog, he barks if anyone moves on my street. No one came to my door. There's always someone home especially during a COVID 19 shutdown. Why didn't I call first? I did, just couldn't get a live person.

One star is too good a rating. Whoever it was that tried to deliver my package came around noon on Sunday Sept 13, 2020. No one was at home as we all were in Church. The delivery person left the orange slip on my doorknob with the information that a payment of taxes and duties for CAD27.26 was required and reported that the package was refused, which was A LIE. When we inquired through DHL Customer Service who was the sender, I received the needed information. I paid the amount owed on Tuesday the 15th. Today is the 16th and I was trying to inquire when delivery would take place. The only info I could find was that the package was on hold because more information was needed. However, I could not find anywhere what additional info was required, even as I was holding printed evidence of payment received found in their website. So I am sitting here still waiting for the new ETD (Estimated Time of Delivery). Taxes and fees have been paid, paid but no package to show. And what is worse, with NO ONE FROM DHL TO TALK TO. Computerized systems offer a very limited list of options to choose from and you often hit a brick wall with unasked and unanswered questions I guess DHL stand for Disastrous Hellish Lie . Never again DHL.
Horrible Customer Service Experience\ Please do not book with DHL Express for international couriers- it has been one very bad horrible service experience using for the first time. The customs duty was paid on the spot when received notification to pay upfront and this is what you can expect after payment. No priority or attention given inspite of reaching to the top management and even after notifying of urgency, the international shipment was misplaced to a wrong location instead of reaching the right destination. No assistance or for that matter urgency from the customer care or the Express team to expedite the shipment or compensate for the issue of delivery after multiple follow-ups. Not planning to use DHL again in future ever where the Management doesnt care at all except sending scripted apology emails.
Worst website ever. And to call to speak to an actual person, good luck. Took me 2 hours just to make a payment. You wouldn't think it would be so hard to give someone money. My experience with this has been worse than the coronavirus. If I could rate a -star, I would.
