Wow we just went in today to get some things and while waiting the owner came out and gave everyone in line a hot chocolate. Never had such nice service, all while it was busy and during Covid. The other staff were also really nice. He also REALLY knows his stuff and cares about the product he brings into his store. Really great shop.

This may be my favourite place on Earth. Well curated collection of stationary, writing instruments, and accessories. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and understanding of the need to find just the right notebook. They will make special orders and ship. Be prepared to go overboard and leave with a little bit of everything.
Expensive, but you get what you pay for. Nota Bene has excellent customer service and a vast selection of high quality products. The notebooks, inks, pens, and pencils I bought there have all been a JOY to use! The employees are always happy to discuss the particularities of the products with you even if you don't know much about them. My one experience of returning a product was great - they were extremely kind and accommodating. If you don't mind spending a bit extra, go to Nota Bene. You won't regret it :)
Nota Bene Papeterie is certainly a hidden gem in the city of Montreal. The staff here are all very friendly and knowledgeable of high quality stationary products. They'll even reccomend pens and pencils that suit your own style of writing. You'll surely find what you need for school/work and even artistic hobbies in this charming little store.
My go-to place for quality import stationary. I was astonished that Montreal had a place like this—that was not a total tourist trap given its location. They carry quite a complete selection of import journals, note books, pens and refills of all sorts and a decent amount of rare art supplies as well. Perfect place to find gifts for loved ones who are paper snobs!
