Our priority is to promote the well-being of the Centre's users, particularly children, adolescents and young adults. * formerly Dollard-Cormier Centre Since its inception in 1999, the Centre has invested over $500,000 in various projects related to social integration through work, support for families with young children, school drop-out for young adults, pathological gambling and cyberaddiction. Two main projects funded by the Foundation : FOCUS ON THE FAMILY: Entirely funded by the CRDM Foundation, Focus on the Family is aimed at families whose parents are experiencing problems of drug, alcohol, pathological gambling or cyberaddiction and who have children aged 6 to 12 who suffer from these problems. - 8% of children aged 17 and under live with an alcohol-dependent parent. - Drug addiction is noted in 60% of neglect situations (Bilan DPJ 2005-2006). - The social cost of placing a child in care is more than $100,000 per year.
