It examines issues relating to its democratization, sustainability and potential impact on humanity and  takes a balanced approach by presenting views in support and critical of the commercial space industry. The film consists of a series of interviews with lawyers, artists, academics, environmentalists, astronauts, experts from the aerospace industry and others who reveal their personal opinions and expectations of emerging technologies such as space mining, space tourism, intercontinental supersonic point-to-point travel and permanent human space settlements. SpaceInc. hopes to raise public awareness of the commercial space industry and promote debate with regard to the legal, economic, environmental, psychological and scientific consequences of the use of space for commercial purposes.  We are at the dawn of disrupting technologies that could change the way we live, in a similar, or even more significant, way than the invention of the airplane.
