Motta is well know for its good Italian food and bakery, ready for takeout , always fresh , always reasonably priced for what you get. Been going there for years and never disappointed. Food and service a solid 4 star . I was in today and behind the counter staff friendly and efficient as always. Non of them were wearing gloves! To my eyes its 100% managements fault and not the fault of the staff when I see 3 or 4 people behind the counter non of which are wearing gloves.

Lovely ,friendly place, it brings me back to the sixties. Lots of memorabilia, Italian soccer shrine! Excellent coffee, the best in Montreal! served with amore. A Montreal institution not to be missed

Great place for a quick bite to eat. Prices are reasonable the staff is super friendly. They understand they want to work and do a good job. The coffee was alright, so was the cake. But the price level reflects that. You want a quick bite at a no frills place with decent food and not overly high price come here. No bathroom, but you can go to Jean Talon market near by.
