Two workshops done, and continually impressed by the insight and feel of the place. Dedicated crew of smart folks is one thing. A willingness to share, aid and make the experience a 180 degree opposite to shop-class. makes it unique. Great team. Nice venue. A winter hangout for community minded folks, tinkerers, experts and avid learners.
Held my child's 7th birthday party here: was a great contrast to the typical kids party venues. It was small and personal, and the staff helped out like they were hosting you in their own house. They kept the kids occupied and calm, and were extremely accommodating with anything we needed throughout the afternoon. The activities were fun and original, and I loved the combined elements of both construction and design. Everyone who came gave great feedback and said it was a wonderful and original venue. This is such an incredible place! It’s a workspace for kids and adults from many hobbies! The have a welders station, a kitchen to cook in, a 3D printer, and sooo much more! If you need a tool, you can borrow it! Part of the membership allows you to borrow the tools for a project just like a library.
We had our son's 10th birthday party at MKRLAB with a small workshop for four kids, and they had a great time. The kids loved it, and said it was very challenging. Win! The staff was great: very patient and attentive with the kids. When setting up the workshop, they asked about my son to create a workshop that would meet his interests. Definitely recommend.
