This yarn store was the unexpected highlight of my recent trip to Montreal. The store is bright and well-appointed with a wide selection of beautiful yarns and a lovely offering of coffee and treats. But what makes Les Tricoteuses truly special are the ladies who work there, especially Louise, Suzanne and Lis. I needed help finding a pattern for my first sweater, and they cheerfully guided my search (online and in their store library), patiently explained different techniques and styles, and even helped me take measurements! So often yarn stores rush you out after your purchase; here, even just browsing, they treat you with the warmth of old friends. I only wish Les Tricoteuses was in my home neighborhood so I could visit more often. If you are a knitter visiting Montreal, definitely check this place out!

La boutique les Tricoteuses du quartier est un petit bijou situé sur la rue Fleury. La boutique est belle, propre et lumineuse. Le décor est chaleureux et invitant. On est accueilli par un personnel accueillant, chaleureux et sympathique. On se sent les bienvenues peu importe qu'on soit une débutante qui a besoin d'être guidée ou une tricoteuse confirmée. C'était ma première fois aujourd'hui et j'ai été conquise. Ce sera dorénavant la boutique où j'irai acheter ma laine, mes outils et des conseils... Même si celle-ci est un peu plus loin de chez moi qu'une autre certaine boutique bien connue. Bravo mesdames!
