The freshest oysters I've ever had! For the last few years, every visit to Jean Talon has featured a stop at La Boite Aux Huitres. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and the atmosphere in the middle of the market is very enjoyable. A definite recommendation on any visit to the market.

There was a large variety of oysters to choose from. The Chefs prepare them right in front of you which was unique to watch. The oysters themselves are enjoyable, but could have been fresher.

Great place for fresh oysters. Good variety. Only thing missing to get the 5th star is for them to have white wine and maybe bread and butter to go with them oysters. Apart from that a great place to have a couple of oysters while being at the market

It’s fresh and convient. Tuesday is the best and you can get 1 each. The employee is friendly. The Only thing is you might need to count the number of oyster if you order too many. The staff is not necessarily giving less oysters, they will definitely give you the right number if you notice that you are receiving less, but this things do happen twice in my case.

Fresh oysters with the best service! The staff here were all smiles the whole time. I tried the “explorer” platter that consisted of 4 different types of oysters, some from the West Coast and some from the East Coast (this will cost you around 30-35). This place is small so there is not much seating area but the service is somewhat fast and people are in-and-out after they are finished with their oysters so, waiting time is not long. Give this place a try when you visit Marché Jean-Talon!
