We develop compostable active packaging to prolong the shelf life of fresh fish. Around 10-16 million tonnes of fish are wasted globally every year, and that accounts for almost 10% of the global supply. In North America, 75% of that waste takes place at the processor, retailer and end consumer levels. Our solution will not only reduce fish waste, but will help capture more value from fresh fish for various players within the supply chain. We also go the extra mile by developing a compostable packaging that will reduce reliance on petrochemical-based plastics and help the global fight against plastic pollution.
