Very nice place to take a variety of cooking classes. We have done two now and were very pleased with the content and quality of dishes!
I went to this place for my office Christmas party and I was completely disappointed. The activity cost 150 and I wouldn't even spent more than 20 just to cook 1 appetizer that we had to invent. The kitchen helpers were rude and unprofessional. The meat that we had as our main course was absolutely dry, just uneatable. The chocolate soufflé was overly sweet. I would'nt recommend this place at all.
This is a gourmet cooking store with a lot of fun knick-knacks, very interesting to browse and taste some ingredients they had out. On the upper floor, they have a number of commercial kitchens (enough to house 1,000 apparently!) where we went for our work social. We were able to do a cooking competition TV-show style event, complete with \secret ingredients\ we had to incorporate into our dish. They were quite flexible, and allowed our company to dictate some of the nuances of the competition; had tables set out with utensils and a lot of ingredients to choose from, so the end result was very creative! Couldn't ask for more - all the fun part of cooking and eating, without the hassle of cleaning and ingredient prep! He was personable and informative, the facility was great and clean - highly recommended. The private dinner he cooked for us wasn't my favourite, but everything else was A.
I always stop in when visiting Montreal. Friendly and extremely knowledgable about fine cooking and baking. Find what I did not know I needed every time!
