I've bought a Warwick bass guitar here 20 years ago and it's still working perfectly!! Amazing store! I would say the best guitar selection in Montreal! Gotta check them out!! #1

Amazing store. Doesn't look big outside but tons of great gear . Probably best selection I've seen in Montreal .

Had a good experience here when I brought in my Fender Mustang guitar for adjustments. After taking it to two different luthiers, this luthier here was the only one who seemed to know how to best set these up. I was happy to find someone who had experience with this type of guitar, and who could make it work without blaming the design. Now my guitar never goes out of tune. I will be back! Found it a bit on the expensive side though. But sometimes I don't mind paying more if I know things will be right.

While searching for a custom shop musicman electric guitar, I found out that this store was the only one in Canada with the exact one I wanted (colour, finish, etc.). Since I live in Toronto, I hesitated purchasing a high end guitar from a shop in Montreal. But the owner Steve helped me every step: answered all my questions very promptly, even sent me photos of the guitar he took, and held the guitar for me for a small amount of deposit until I found time to travel to Montreal. He assured me that, if I didn't like the guitar after trying it, he would even allow me to use the deposit for purchasing something else. He also even offered me a discount and it helped me with the cost of travel to and from Montreal. I just returned to Toronto and playing this lovely instrument. Some asked my why I didn't have it shipped to Toronto, but then I wouldn't have had the chance to visit this great store, where I was treated so nicely with all staff and also enjoy seeing so many great guitars! I would now trust this store and order stuff online from them with no worries.

I bought a new Fender guitar at your establishment and was offered a free set up with the purchase. At the same time that I brought in my new guitar for this service I also brought a guitar I already had that needed some work done. When I returned to pick up both my guitars I found the old one had been cleaned but none of the work I had requested had been done and the new one was damaged and also had not been worked on in terms of setting it up. I was charged 80 for simply changing the strings ! The job was absolutely not what I had asked for, the work was not done. I was essentially robbed of 80. The employee actually had the nerve to try and blame me for the damage to the new guitar. This Fender was in perfect condition when I brought it in, and had there been any damage it would have been seen that same day when I handed it over and it was looked at. This insult was followed by some of the most ridiculous excuses as to why they had not done the work beginning with how I tune my guitar?! This was followed by, and I quote , “ If I can get something to work 85% of the time and have the crowd enjoy it then I know I did a good job”. Is that the standard of service offered here? As long as no one notices it’s good enough? Obviously they do not know what they are doing and would rather hire inexperienced and unknowledgeable employees that do inferior work and then instead of taking responsibility, BLAME THE CLIENT! Diplomate does not care about the clients or giving a good service. They only care about taking your money.
