I love this place and highly recommend it! I'm writing this review because I just saw a 1 star review and find it's not fair at all... Do not go here if you aren't into the medieval experience, with lively "in character" employees. If you expect a 5 star restaurant experience, with glamor and a wine Stewart (you get the idea), this is really not the place for you :). They put a lot of effort to bring you the "experience" and I really enjoy that :) The food is excellent, this is one of my favorite restaurants of all time! Haven't been there in such a long time, I'm going back when it re-open's, hopefully soon!

Definitly a must for people who like mediaeval themed restaurant. The ambiance is awsome, the food is great ( and made for big eater like myself) and the staff is more than competent and funny. They have live music performed by a channssonier. They also serve products for Quebec, which is always a plus in my book. They have a ton of choice concerning alcohol, so you will surely find something you like on the menu. As for the food itself, you will definitely enjoy the Auberge is you like eating. Gigantic portion, 3 types of fries (salty, sweet and spicy) and a whole lot more to discover when you get there. (and don't ask for a fork!) With a price of around 100 for two people (if you drink moderately), i would have to rate the Auberge du Dragon Rouge my definitive favorite restaurant! A go-to for every birthday, party or just for a fun evening!

This place is just amazing! The food is great but pricey. The potatoes are really really good, it was unexpected. The medieval theme makes it fun with new ways to drink beer and eating (I won't spoil the surprise ). In the end the place is quite pricey but it's a must try for the experience.

Best médiévale restaurant in the world. Nothing less.

Medieval-themed restaurant with live music, beer cauldrons and boar meat. There is no reservation system in place for the regular dinner so arrive early. I recommend the Gargantua plate (for 2) or the boar ribs. They serve a wide range of alcohol from various beers to honey wine (hydromel) and maple syrup whisky. The terrace is also very nice in summer. Breakfast is also offered on weekends but it's not as great as the dinner in my opinion and maybe a bit expensive. I definitely recommend the regular dinner (no reservation) or the themed events on the second floor (reservation only). Some will argue that this place is a bit expensive but it's worth every penny in my opinion. This is a great place to have fun!

Fun place if you are looking for a themed meal. The food is good, but nothing outstanding. There are no English menus, but the staff was helpful.

This place was so much fun. My boyfriend and I were looking for a dinner theatre type of setting and we got all that and more. Neither of us really speak a lick of french but it was still incredibly fun. The food was great, the booze was better. The real reason we’re leaving reviews though is for the staff. We came in on their opening night after a bunch remodeling and they were so nice and understanding. They were so patient explaining the menu to us and translating their Dragons Blood speech. The locals there were also super conversational and friendly (if you can take some light jabbing for not speaking French). It was just such a fun time and I’m only sad I don’t live closer to go back again.

Fantastic experience. Delicious food. The service was amazing, very cozy. They've tried to include me in every joke that they made during the dinner even though I don't speak French. Highly recommended
