This is the worst insurance company there can be. Don't ever buy insurance from them. For details, read my story. I cancelled my insurance as my car transmission broke down and I scrapped it instead of getting it fixed as it was a really old car. I cancelled my insurance policy the same day but I get a call two months later that my insurance is being cancelled because of non payment! WHAT? and they say I'll have to pay for two months or my record will state that my insurance was cancelled for non payment, EVEN THOUGH I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE A CAR FOR THOSE TWO MONTHS. I paid them 1100 extra bucks to protect my record. GUESS WHAT? after a year I try to buy another car and another insurance company tells me that my record states that my policy was cancelled for non payment and because of that the cheapest insurance I will get is 1100 a month!!!! I hope you guys read this and stay away from this fraud company. Even when you call customer care, nobody gives a damn about the customer. I'll take this matter to the court

They pretend to care until it comes time to settle on a payout, in my case, for a written off vehicle. Had to fight for almost 2 months to get a (barely) fair offer from Intact. Beware of their sly practices when coming up with a value for your vehicle. Intact appraised my vehicle with a more common trim package and tried to offer me almost half of what it was actually worth.
Worst Insurance company and the broker who gave me this policy are also the worst. Somehow I have completed the year and my auto and home policy expiring on October 01, 2020. I sent them clear instructions when they sent me the policy for renewal that I am no more interested to renew the policy through my broker Gallagher. On September 15, 2020 my Broker Gallagher sent me an email that we have returned back your auto and home policy as instructed by you and your policy will not renew and stand cancel on September 30, 2020. There was no deduction from my bank account on 1st of October, the date on which they deduct money from my account for as monthly payment of my policy but suddenly they deduct money from my account on October 15, 2020 for the reasons not known to me. Now I am taking up this matter by my broker Gallagher and the insurance company. So please be careful when dealing with this company.
When our townhouse flooded last summer, it took Intact more than 10 weeks to come out and remove the wet, moldy drywall, exposing our family and infant son to hazardous conditions for months. It took them another 6 weeks just to replace the drywall, leaving us without walls for over a month and forcing us to move out of our home with our baby twice during the pandemic. Their glacial pace literally endangered our family, don’t give them a single penny or minute of your time.
