If you’re in Southern Alberta and looking for a high quality custom hat look no further than Hat Doctor! Went in to have a hatband on a custom hat adjusted after going to Smithbilt in the city. Smithbilt took one look and saw it was a low x (Smithbilt 100x is pure beaver vs my hat maker where 10x is pure beaver) and assumed it was a cheap hat like they make and said they’d glue it on. Obviously I was flabbergasted that they’d use glue on a nice felt hat and a hitched horsehair hat band. After some searching I found Hat Doctor and made an appointment. Came in said no problem and made the required alterations with a smile. Would highly reccomend for anyone looking for a high quality new hat. They use traditional methods to craft custom hats made specifically for you. If I had known about Hat Doctor sooner I would have had my hat made here rather than the 8hr drive down to Billing’s.
Great experience. The waiting room wasnt too busy, there was somone else who had been waiting for a few hours with a blown out fedora, the emergency doctor on call was a tophat specialist, but he diagnosed my and fixed up my panama in a jiffy. Super happy with my experience. The admission nurse was new and seemed a bit stressed she was a bit unsure of the differences between my panada and a stockman. Over all great experience.
