The McMaster Investment Council started as the “MACIC” in 2008, after a small group of DeGroote Commerce students united over their passion for investment and the finance world. Shortly thereafter, the group was able to operate and invest through student funds raised. Over the foreseeable future we aim to outperform the broader equity markets to establish ourselves as capable money management professionals. Through a consistent and impressive return record coupled with a deep value philosophy, we will be looking for funding in the near future. Our long term goal is to actively manage an endowment fund for McMaster University, to provide value to the greater community and a more meaningful experience for students.
