We hired Kanaka pool and spa do put in a pool last year, Jim was prompt with our consultation and we got a very good price on the job especially considering our backyard was VERY hard to access and for removal of dirt but Jim and his crew were diligent on getting the job done for us! We were swimming in a few months! Kanaka pool and spas is the company I recommend to family and friends and have and my friends have the same opinion of Kanaka Pools and spas! Jim and his crew are very professional, friendly, responsive, Deliver quality work and really listen to the “wishes/wants” of their clients! Jim and his crew where great. Couldn’t be happier. Always helpful and had no problems coming when I needed anything. Definitely have recommended him to others. I love my pool.
This company replaced my pool liner last year, summer 2018. When they filled it with water the bottom crumbled leaving jutting pieces and crevices across the entire bottom and sides; it looked like the liner was laid over a rocky creek bed. You can't even vacuum it properly because of the uneven surfaces. My friends and neighbours commented when they saw it that they hoped I hadn't paid him for this mess, unfortunately I did. When I approached the owner, Jim, about it he said it was because of the water table and that concrete should have been poured on the bottom and sides. He's supposed to be the expert, why didn't he tell us this before he inserted the liner and filled it. In any event, he stated that he would replace the liner again, we would have to pay for the labour but he would only charge us his cost for the new liner and to call him this spring (2019) to arrange to have it done. In the mean time my liner lock was falling out all around the pool edge. I called him in June 2019 and told him that the liner lock was falling out and also asked him about replacing the liner. He said he would send someone over to fix the liner lock and to call him later about replacing the liner. Surprise, no one came to fix the liner lock and I had to fix it myself. In addition, messages were left, he never answered the phone, and I have never heard from him again. I would NEVER recommend this company.
Called to inquire about an above ground pool installation as the web site includes it under the list of services. I was abruptly told they do not do above ground pool installations. ???
They'll need to return a phone call to get better than 1 star.
