I have purchased 3 pairs of dance shoes (2 practice & recently a pair of Latin) from DanceMasters over the past year. The knowledge, sharing of information and the overall attention to detail is the reason I keep going back. The staff has always been friendly and helpful.
They may not have as wide of a selection in dance wear fashion but they have everything you need for dance class needs. I brought my daughter there last spring to purchase elastics for her ghillies and some tights. We came back during the fall for ballet shoes for my daughter after having some poor service at another dance store and wound up with some ballet shoes that were perfect for her. The lady who helped us made sure the shoe fit perfectly (especially since she has very narrow, small feet). We will be going back there for all of our future dance needs since it's only an, at most, 15 minute drive for us from Barrhaven.
I had visited 3 other stores in Ottawa that was also recommended by the dance studio. It was a waste of time. This was my last choice in Ottawa. I had an extremely good experience. The staff is very knowledgeable. The lady that owns the store spent over an hour trying to find me the correct show since I had a narrow heel ( I wasn't aware of this till she told me and that limited the types of shoes I could get ) When I mentioned that I had just started dance lessons and wasn't sure if I would continue she tried to find me shoes in a reasonable price range. When I was trying on like my 20th pair her daughter brought a pair that was on sale --- that fitted me the best. They are all about finding the correct shoe for you. Not about selling the most expensive one like some stores. Anyone looking for dance shoes should not waste time like I did going to other stores. They have the biggest selection and the most knowledgeable, friendly staff. If I continue dancing I will not go anywhere else for dance shoes Thank you Dance Masters for your excellent service
