I have been buying their products online for several years. Despite them selling in Ontario they are not in every grocery store . However they do not disappoint. there products are delicious and so different...have given some away as gifts such as the lemon and basic olive oils....everyone loves them....Vraiment des produits de qualite et un tres bon service a la clientele.....hautement recommende...

Bien, why do you drive from Ampére (very useful to keep the Tesla moving) to Newton (also useful for keeping the Tesla on the ground), to Galilee (so many proofs of faith...) to find Maison Orphee? Why, it's simply to smell the vinegar, the hints of mustard, and to buy what may be the most personally inspired condiments in Quebec! Beware, this is not a curated store where beautiful, but empty people read the scripts. No, this is a a counter where products are stocked in cabinets and a very beautiful, yet knowing guide tells you of her mother's preference in fresh oils and vinaigrettes. You compare recipes, get suggestions, and pack your own boxes while John and the plumber discuss fixing the UPS pump. After all, this is a factory, and an ISO 22000 factory with certifications. Food should be safe, but is should not be without spirit or soul. Go to Dollarama for safety; come here for spirit and soul. For the original, Maison Orphee does have its own artisanal oil mill and creates a unique unfiltered, cold-pressed Canadian canola oil: nutty, golden, not as peppery as a virgin olive that Maison Orphee also sells, but in baking, oh yes! Cakes become richer, with a vibrancy that captures the sun on Canadian canola fields. As for the mustard, do try the Moutarde Biologique pour vinaigrettes. Unlike imported mustard seeds, these are not steam, ETO (TOXIC), or heat treated, and thus preserve flavors and the natural gums that help emulsify salad dressings. And, it has an excellent taste! My only desire is for Maison Orphee to allow factory visits to see their magic!

Disrespects English quebecers with an ad that says "ici on dit francais. Pas "French". When posting to their Facebook page about said ad they claim it is a jab at a competitor (Frenchs), but do not acknowledge or apologize for the secondary jab this takes at English quebecers. The ad is in poor taste and was poorly thought out. While I was once a customer I no longer will be.
