I currently own a condo, but if I ever had to rent anywhere it would be in west 5. They are actually reasonably priced for the high end area that they are in. I feel bad for the people that have to deal with construction, but the area is being developed and I guess the noise is inevitable. It’s just like building a house and moving into it as the rest of the street is still getting built.

For your own sanity, do not move in here. Here are the reasons why: Construction noise is very excessive, it lasts all day (starts at 7 am). There's a lot of beeping from construction vehicles, and at night they run massive industrial heaters (next to their unfinished buildings) that sound like there's an airplane humming noise right next to you (they're on all night and day, 24/7, BTW). This construction noise will continue for at least 3 or 5 more years because this company plans to build a lot in the area. Rent is expensive and rent goes up every year regardless of renewing your rental lease agreement or not. Hydro is considerable pricey because the furnace is electric. Even though they have solar panels on the roof you will still pay from 200 to 300, or even more (it depends on the season and your usage). The units are not that big, you could probably rent an entire house instead. The only appealing thing about these units is that they're new. A lot of tenants move out as soon as their lease runs out (after a year). So that tells you how awful this place is at the moment.
This place is still under construction. They say they won't be available until at least a year and a half.
CONSTRUCTION BEEPING LAND! I recently moved here and believe me the construction noise here is insane, especially the beeping noise! I've been awaken by the beeping noise from the construction trucks every single weekday (and some weekend days too). I'm considering going to the doctor because I constantly get headaches due to this. Rent here is EXPENSIVE and honestly it's not worth the money just because of the noise. I feel bad for families who have kids or babies and have to put up with the beeping noise as well! I uploaded a video of the beeping. It starts from 7 am and you will hear it pretty much all day. It doesn't matter if your windows are closed! It's just terrible! If you're considering renting one of these units, come to see them on a week day so you can hear how loud it gets here.
Concept is great, but don’t believe the hype, several commitments made to early tenants not followed through on. Everything is behind schedule and the place is a dust bowl. Check the drainage near many units, not planned well, lots of standing water and the mosquitoes that go along with it.
