Lack of supervision, lack of staff training, lack of organization and lack of leadership. This camp is unlicensed. All these things contributed to both my children being significantly injured, neglected and bullied on their first day at this camp. This is not an overstatement. It is clear that the teenage counselors that they have hired need more training and ongoing on-site supervision to ensure that they are actually doing their jobs in supervising and caring for the children they are responsible for. Perhaps the YMCA should actually hire professionals instead of just students. The YMCA is well known for providing excellent child care, but they have a serious problem with the staff and culture at this site. We pulled our children after day 1, notified the regional manager and received a refund. Regardless we were appalled with our children's experience at this camp. This review is not in spite, however they are unlicensed and therefore there is no provincial oversight to ensure that corrective action takes place. Hence this is a warning to other parents to think twice and ask some really serious questions of the leadership if you are actually thinking about this as a camp for your Children.

This venue is a camp site for my kids all summer. They stay out a lot and had its ups and down sides.
