Called in for a noise complaint and a covid party with no masks or social distancing among a group of young people that was much larger than has been considered safe or congruent with the covid restrictions. They came for the noise but said they couldn't do anything about the gathering and lack of masks and distancing. They told me to call City Hall and seemed to find it humorous. I did call, and they said it was the job of Police Officers to deal with people ignoring covid restrictions. Typical city that passes the buck around and around, and does nothing.

As I had been advised two weeks ago at the time of incident reporting, I called today to check on the status of my collision report. Jessica answered the call, rather rudely, and when I was unable to produce the incident report number but asked if it was okay to provide my name instead, started sighing over the phone and proceeded to misspell my name repeatedly even though i clearly articulated each and every letters. Contrary to the original advice given to me by another clerk there (who was extremely helpful and informative), Jessica simply said \the other driver did not show up\, nothing more. I am frustrated enough that this has been dragging on and on with the offender who is refusing to provide his insurance information for me to process a claim through my insurance as not-at-fault, and I had been assured by the other fabulous lady that the Police will do everything to handle this, including having the offender officially charged should he fail to show up after a few attempts to contact, but this Jessica person was simply horrendous in all aspects of customer service. I wish I could give it a 0 star.
My whole life I've always looked up to the police and wanted to be one. Yet as an adult it feels like they don't care about the people. I had so many things stolen from me last night and when I try to ask questions they make me feel like I have done something wrong . When I ask how they are when the conversation starts, I don't get a 'good' or 'how are you' simply just \busy\. I always wanted to be a police officer to be a role model to people and make everyone feel safe yet I feel like I have done something wrong because I want to help them do their jobs. So disappointed that this is how kids are going to feel everywhere when they realize how much it sucks having hero's push you aside like you dont matter
Tonight my boyfriend and I were in an accident. The two employees were very understanding and waited a few minutes past closing time until our affairs were settled. This was very much appreciated as we were just in a stressful situation. So thank you!
