Quality Care but dangerous Covid Policy I took my cat in late December during a snow storm and was informed it would be a 6-8 wait. It was 10 hours before I heard from anyone and 13 hours before I was able to leave. This in itself isn't the problem. They are the only 24/7 clinic in town, they are busy, if your pet is stable it's going to be a long wait. What I take issue with is the policy that you aren't allowed to leave. Even if they know your pet will not be seen for 8 hours. In the winter during the extreme cold it is not possible to turn your car off overnight. I tried. I lasted almost 2 hours before I could barely feel my hands. I had gloves, winter coat, and a blanket so I was prepared. This creates an entire parking lot of people running their cars. Couple that with the long wait and they're creating a situation where someone is going to fall asleep in their car while it's running. This is incredibly dangerous. I hope the winter ends or this policy changes before someone is killed. Additionally a parking lot of running cars for 8-10 hours each is awful for the environment. Please reconsider this policy. Now the quality of care I received after the long wait was good. The vet I dealt with was knowledgeable and even sympathetic about the long wait. She asked if I wanted to leave to go grab a coffee as it would still be a bit longer. My cat had a relapse a few days later and again required emergency care. I took him to Toronto. Even factoring in the 4 hours of driving the total trip was only 7 hours compared to the 13 it took in town. So I would consider Toronto (TVEH), Guelph or Mississauga as alternatives if they tell you the wait is \u003e 4-5 hours.

I took my cat here years ago and the treatment he received was exceptional. The staff were extremely kind with me, taking the time to explain all the procedures to me and allowing me the time to ask questions. Amazing staff working under extremely stressful conditions. A huge thank you to all the staff

The London Regional Veterinary Emergency excels at treating pet emergencies with professional advice and treatments. I recently had to take my puppy Stella to the clinic as she got in injured at the dog park by another dog. They quickly got her in and examined her, I was told by their staff that it could be a soft tissue injury or fracture but they would have to take an X-ray to be sure. They suggested that it doesn't look like a fracture because when they touched the swollen spot she did not yelp in pain. Since the X-ray was a little expensive (more than 100, I forgot the exact price) she recommended a prescription of some antibiotics and painkillers for her and told me to observe her behavior. I have also taken my cat Myla here a year ago when she cut her tongue. Unfortunately I had to wait quite a while since they were busy with other animals and since it wasn't life threatening we waited. I arrived there around 9:00 pm, after waiting for an hour or two she was taken in and treated and by the time we got out it was 12:00 - 1:00 am. Though my time there was comfortable since they provided movies and I was able to work on my laptop while I was waiting. The attitude of the staff and vets were kind, friendly and helpful, they guided me though what was the problem and told me what should be done. Though my experiences have been swell the cost and wait time is a real pain. If you come in during the busy hours expect long wait times and in addition the cost of emergency treatments are not cheap. My quick visit to the vet for Stella just for an examination and medication costed around 250! Overall, I appreciate the staff's hard work in treating veterinary emergencies and appreciate their help. *The picture is of my puppy, Stella.*

The clinic is very well organized. The veterinarians take time to explain every test and allow the pet owners to direct care with full transparency. But, no place like home!
