In response to Amber's review, I can assure you that all necessary COVID precautions were in place at the time of her course, as verified by other student reviews as well. Instructors read from the book to ensure they are in the right spot, also recent changes to the texts from suppliers will from time to time have instructors looking at the book as well. Fit testing is not required, nor recommended during this time, for demonstrations and hands on portions of the course: IE putting on the H2S masks. This is done to ensure you can properly don, doff the mask etc. If we sized the entire class, you'd be there all day. As for the woman behind the desk, she had her plexiglass in place, which at the time, was sufficient, as masks were not mandatory at that time. The course is created by Energy Safety Canada and we follow their teachings to the T. H2S is H2S no matter who you are, so please keep that in mind. We also hope you dont get Covid. We haven't had a case yet and receive positive feedback on the regular for our cleaning and sanitizing protocols as our precautions are top notch that go above and beyond the recommendations. Worst H2S Alive experience I have had to date. COVID safety precautions not taken seriously, unnecessary group work still done, instructor argued about changes to CPR portion with COVID. Instructor made sexist remarks about women and stated \the wife on a site would just sit back and collect the insurance money\ if her husband was the man down. Instructor continuously read from the book and didn't seem to know what he was supposed to be teaching. Lady working the front desk was not wearing a mask. Halfway through the class the instructor said we will all have to keep our masks on now. They did not properly size people for masks before donning and doffing. They provided everyone with a medium mask and I wear a small so I did not get a proper seal. The other company I went to before was sure to have the right masks for everyone, instructor was knowledgeable and geared the course towards the people who were in it. This one did not realize the people in the class weren't riggers. Will not go back here and just hoping I don't end up with COVID.
First aid and fall protection here. Good instructors. Painless experience. And fun and interesting. Well structured.
Lots of parking and great staff. Instructor had a good sense of humor. Free coffee was a bonus.
