This is not a reacue, it is where the local town's unwanted animals end up because there is no pound. Animals are brought in from the USA in transport conditions so unruly that its surprisingly the animals live. Why the RCMP hasn't taken complaints seriously is beyond me. Avoid at all cost! Sick dogs for sale.

Adopted a year ago from here. Our dog has been a great addition to our home and healthy. She has stolen our hearts.

Not a non-profit!!! My dog had a severe infection due to lack of proper aftercare after they neutered him. Emded up with over a 500 vet bill and 3 vet visits within the first week we got him to get him healthy. Fees were extraordinary for a rescue as our dog was apparently "high demand" so they charge more. Horrible service. I did talk to the owner and expressed all my concerns. Also reported them to the authorities.

This "rescue" changes their name once a year to avoid the bad reviews and terrible reputation they have. DO NOT adopt from this place. This is not a rescue. They make a profit on selling sick, and aggressive dogs only to be returned back to them to sell to some clueless person. Way too many dogs have been returned to this place. The only good reviews are made by the people who work there. Please do your research on this place. This is a dog mill

Cares K9 helps dogs have a chance to be a part of a family. Yes, they are rescue dogs that can come with their own issues. We have adopted two dogs and are very happy with the service that Cares K9 provides.

My service animal was stolen and dumped and I found him here sent them his paperwork and tried to get them to give me an address so I could send a transporter to get him back to me in Texas. They ignored my Questions and adopted out my dog with me trying to get him back the whole time. If anyone has any idea how I can get Stoney back please help us

This is a FOR PROFIT organization, not a non profit rescue. They change their name frequently to try and outrun their bad reviews and reputation. Try asking for a donation receipt for your adoption fee. Read the clause in the adoption agreement about them fining you if you report them to the SPCA. Ask why they charge a sales tax on their adoption fees. This is a business. Seriously if CARES wants to be a rescue then they need to get their paperwork in order to be a non profit. Set up a system of foster homes so they can take their time vetting and learning about each dogs personality and needs. Stop charging ridiculous amounts of money for sickly dogs. There's no short cut to do this....otherwise its called dog flipping. Selling dogs. That's what this place is. We saw 5 dogs. 4 were sneezing. 2 were skin and bones. 1 needed a dental done, you could smell it before even picking the dog up. 1 had a limp. Charging 900 for a dog that needs more vetting right away is wrong. No responsible rescue should be letting them go out the door in anything but fully healthy condition. And their high prices and policy of highest bidder gets the dog if more than one party is interested at the same time, makes it obvious what the goal here is- money. Do your research, Google them, check out the posts on reddit and the bbb sites. Read the reviews not left by the employees. If you decide to adopt from them, be prepared to take your new dog to the vet right away for a check up, deworming, possible kennel cough, potential teeth cleaning and more. Know what you are getting into. It is not enough to simply pull dogs from shelters down south and rehome them for large amounts of money. That's called reselling. The dogs deserve a better "rescue" than this.
