Awesome food and really nice owner. What else can you ask for? I always prefer visiting these types of restaurants over chains and for good reason. Great experience!

My husband, son and I visited Chez Assayyed for the first time. The owner, Chef, was serving us and he was a lovely person. However, there were some negatives, sadly, before getting into the restaurant. The parking lot was full, we almost turned away. We thought the place must be packed with all of these cars. We finally found an unusual place to park and went in to find out we were the only ones in the restaurant. All the other places seem to be using the parking here. The place had an interesting look to it, a lot of wood and plants. Although the plants looked like they were in need of water. The food was very nice. We had burger/fries, Steak, salads, and beef steak wrap. The menu was huge. The salads were delicious and the steak was cooked nicely. My son really loved his wrap and my burger and fries were good but the burger was so large I could barely put it in my mouth. He served us with so much enthusiasm, and was very charming. Above all it was a good night out for dinner. You can't miss the place, they have a LOT of signs on the building. Recommend. :) *Big plus on the Mango Smoothie

Falafel plate was good, but didn't know it didn't come with any sauces or hummus, though the shawarma platters do. Strange. I asked for some garlic and they were happy to throw some in. Rice was very tasty as was the salad surprisingly. Not sure if it's worth 14 bucks but it was definitely filling as a large man.

We went there hoping for some special Lebanese food, not the traditional Canadian pile of shawarma! There was nothing as such on the menu, but we talked to the server/owner and we are glad we did because he made us a special plate of different mezze, kibbeh, hommus, tabouleh, stuffed grapevine leaves and salad. It was very good. Make sure you talk with your server.

Loved the food both times so far. Had a salad and lentil soup the first time we went there and their specialty burger this time. Everything tasted very fresh and flavorful. I also thought it's great that the interior is super green with lots of plants around. It adds a lot of character to the place.

Sit down shawarma place. Has fries and chicken platter.

Definitely not going to eat there again. The two pieces of fish were hard to chew. You could tell it was either too old and or had been frozen and re-frozen to be so tasteless and of course I got overcharged for sweet potato fries that were oversized and dry. The server was very nice and polite, such was good. The place is not designed for accessibility. Eat there at your own risk.

Great steaks, good pricing very tasty food. Service is very slow and erratic. They are not licensed to serve alcohol, or is a halal place I know, but a great steak without a glass wine or a beer is a bit incomplete in my opinion.
