I would recommend KSF to all surf lovers. From beginners to advanced surfers, the private and group classes are just awesome! I am so happy with my classes, I will take a few more very soon. They care, they are competent and it is obvious that the staff is happy to teach and surf! Makes such a difference Pierre-Phillipe Loiselle knew how to adapt my class to my needs and really took the time to educate me on the terminology, techniques, and corrected me all throughout the class. I learned so much, and it was so much fun!!! They rent quality equipment onsite which makes it a hassle-free one stop place to get equipment, learn and have fun in a safe environment. Thank you to the whole team!

They have SUP and Kayak classes for kids and adults! And you can request French or English teaching! This location can save us 2-3 hours driving go to national park for experiencing water sports!

Cool spot by the river. Unfortunately, their customer service skills are seriously lacking. I rented a surfboard. After I got in the river and realized the surfboard was tilting to the left, I was honest and brought back the board an explained that one fin was missing. The girls told me they had not checked the fins and didn't know if the fin was missing before or after they gave it to me, or in their words \ if the fin was not properly attached\. I patiently waited and they replaced the fin. They told me they would check with the owner. After I came back, I waited and they had not spoken to the owner yet (after 1.5 hours) so I waited some more and the owner finally showed up and just bluntly blamed it on me (basically without letting me explain myself) that I was the one who had lost a fin. They made me pay 11.60 even though I am pretty sure the board had no fin attached from the beginning, and one of the fins was actually damaged when they gave me the board. Rule #1 of good customer service is listen to the customer. Rule #2 is don't blame things on the customer specially if you have no proof. They could have made a ton of money with me and my friends going there every week and renting boards. Unfortunately for them, we will now be buying our own equipment instead of giving money to this place, and I suggest you do the same. Hope they enjoy the 11.60.

Do your due diligence. The initiation class 1 was fine and the instructor watches over the students well. BUT. You must understand the following: 1. You are responsible for anything that happens to you while in the water. The waiver you sign will mention \disease\, \cold\, \hypothermia\, etc. 2. There are no showers available. You will get in the water and \possibly\ attract some form of skin disease but you also won't have the option to shower and the company isn't responsible for you, whatsoever. 3. You have to be \comfortable\ in white waters. Its a pre-requisite. If you decide to back out in the middle of class session, it is none of their concern to refund you in any way, shape or form. They also won't negotiate to accommodate your satisfaction. 4. Bring your own wetsuit. They have rentals for wetsuits and watershoes but they're used and worn out. Yes they are also cheap to rent but it's pretty obvious as to why. If you are larger in size, there are nothing bigger than 2xl and you may suffocate, struggling with skin tight clothing, all while making maneuvers. 5. Cancellations must be done 7 days in advance. If you cancel in any way, do it ahead. Even if you drop out half way through class, they won't refund you regardless of the reason. May it be because you are struggling or incapable of breathing during the activity. 6. The manager seems to be nowhere to be found on site. Maybe I am wrong, but he/she wasn't there when I had something to dispute. I was simply asked if I wanted to be reached by email or call. In conclusion, there is a specific category of people that \can\ do these activities. Do your due diligence and be prepared, ask questions first THOROUGHLY and DO NOT BOOK until you are absolutely sure you're comfortable with the risks associated. Btw, If you book in English, and the majority speaks French. It will be in French.
