I’ve been trying to write “the best review” for a solid week now, and I just can’t muster up enough good things to say about this gym! We LOVED it there (past tense because we moved, and we’ve missed our EMA family the most!!) Leanne (Ms.Ens) and the staff at EMA Langley are seriously the best and the most humble humans on this planet. They don’t just care about the business, they care about every one of their family (EMA) members. We first put our son in the after school program because we needed childcare - but it turned out to be so much more than that, and for that I am forever grateful. The growth & opportunities EMA is teaching our children along with respect, self defence and confidence are just some of what you can expect your children (and yourself too!) to learn. The pro-d day, spring & summer camps are ones the kids mention ALL the time, the constant activity, programs and most of all what they have learned from it all! We definitely are all missing our after school care program and friends, and the whole entity has definitely impacted each and every one of us. Please Ms. Ens - can you open a gym up here?! We love and miss you all, and if you’re ready this review - sign up immediately!! You won’t be disappointed!!

EMA Langley is exceptional among martial arts schools because of how they intentionally foster community and compassion without sacrificing the competence of students. If you want a place where you'll be pushed to your limits, and also be connected to a community and be valued, then this is the place to go. EMA Langley puts first the development of people's character—diligence, respect, endurance, empathy. The martial skills are important, but not valued apart from character. This is so crucial; students here who stick with it will not only be competent at self defense, but mature enough to use it wisely.

If you’re looking for an amazing Summer Camp for your kids, look no further!! Excel Martial Arts was a such a great experience for my son and daughter and Ms. Ens and her team are phenomenal. My kids had never taken martial arts before and they both fell in love, especially my daughter. I saw such a difference in my daughter’s self confidence and was so happy to see her passion wanting to continue. I wish we could have continued at EMA throughout the year but hopefully we can be back for the summer again.

Excel Martial Arts has been an amazing space for our son to learn mixed martial arts and self esteem building traits. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and very family focused. The communication is wonderful and they are always working hard to see each child succeed personally. Although the classes are in a group, the staff still personalize each class with each student as needed. My son always come out of class with a big smile and confidence in himself.

EMA Langley’s a super supportive and engaging studio! I really enjoy the Adult/Teen program as well as EMA Fit. The classes help me better myself on my martial arts journey and I’m very grateful for this gym, the instructors as well as the community for a healthy fitness environment. I’ve been attending classes for nearly 3 years and I always feel better after going. Thank you especially, Ms. Ens, for all your support and encouragement!
