We rented a tandem kayak and it was so easy and quick! We booked it online two days beforehand, and when we showed up, it was ready for us. The start/end times were flexible and the staff were super friendly. The lake was the perfect place to be kayaking since it was large and the fellow boaters were cautious. I would definitely rent a kayak here again!

Place is small but does not disappoint. We rented a Sea-Doo for 2 days and 2 paddle boards for a week. They were extremely friendly very professional. Rental prices are fair and they take care of you. Temp boating licenses are available if you don't have one.
Very enjoyable experience with our sea doo rental this summer. We will rent again from this company next time we are vacationing in the area.
Had a horrible experience with Kawartha Adventure Rentals. The customer service was beyond terrible. We booked a canoe for the next business day and tried to cancel the booking within 15 minutes due to a personal emergency and was told over the phone by a very young girl at the front desk that it cannot be done since they have a 48 hour cancellation policy, which made no sense considering we made the booking 15 minutes prior for a 24 hour pick up period. I tried explaining this and was told no manager is available to help or provide me with a refund and that this was the policy. We then went in person to try to get a refund of our deposit and I was again greeted by what looked like a bunch of teenagers who were sitting at the desk eating French fries and speaking to me with their mouths full of food. After a few words, the girl I was dealing with yelled “my friend is outside” and just ran out leaving me there mid conversation. I was infuriated at this point and then again asked to speak to a manager, and was directed to someone who was kind and mature enough to deal with me professionally and give us a credit but again this to us is a waste considering we don’t know when we will be back in Kawartha and the fact that we do not want to deal with a business like this that allow rude and unprofessional teenagers to run it. We even asked if we could use the credit to purchase something in their store and was told it can only be put towards a rental. Please consider changing your policy for bookings that are not made prior to 48 hours, as it makes no sense and is not applicable to all situations especially emergency ones. As for the customer service, the lack of it thereof and the unprofessional treatment of people seems to be a common problem throughout many reviews for this place. Do better.
