Great visit to Lac Bryson, but quite over-hunted. We're just back from a great week at Lac Bryson. Their reputation for excellent service and facilities is well-deserved. The entire team was exceptionally kind, helpful and hospitable - we really couldn't ask for more and we have nothing but good things to say about the place and people. That said, every person we spoke with agreed that the land bears all the signs of being over-hunted. It's perfectly reasonable to hunt for a week and not see an animal. But to see absolutely NO fresh tracks or droppings is very rare. For more than 60 hunters to hunt for a week and not take an animal is unheard of and in our opinion is a good indication that the population is under too much pressure from either hunters or other factors. Regardless of the reason, it seems like a few years of recovery is needed. The fishing was great, we had a lot of fun, met some great people and made a lot of memories. I hope to hear some time in the future that the moose are back because we'd love to visit again.
