I am new to astronomy and was looking for a Celestron SE 5 and went to the store today. The moment you enter the store, you feel the GREAT VIBE. I have heard a lot about this store esp. Shannon as she is a very knowledgeable person when it comes to astronomy, but didn't get the chance to meet her in person and met her dad instead, Brian, who is the owner of the store as well. What a great guy! Knows everything about astronomy. They did not have SE 5 in stock but they were in the process of ordering for their customers and had a lot of orders of the same telescope as well as SE 6. I talked about ordering the scope from Amazon as it was in stock on Amazon and I wanted to start sooner and couldn't wait for a long time. He still educated me a lot about this new hobby of mine and never pushed me to buy a different scope though they had a lot others similar to the one I needed. This is the best customer service as customer could ask for. From now on, this is my go to store and no matter it is a bit far from my home, I am still gonna go and buy my accessories and next scope from here in future. My friends who are into this hobby and others who have their heart's set on astronomy should definitely go and consult them. They are the best out there. You have a customer for life now!! This is one of those rare local stores full of well-informed experts who are passionate about what they sell. They are eager to go above and beyond to make sure you leave with what you need most. Often I'm not even sure what I'm looking for, so I'll just describe what I want to accomplish, and they take it from there. For example, in my last interaction, I first asked for a specific eyepiece based on magazine reviews. They said they'd be happy to get that, but asked why I wanted that specific eyepiece. When I described that I wanted high magnification with good eye relief and a wide field of view, they said that while my choice was good, there was a similarly powerful eyepiece, but with a wider FOV, and as a bonus was cheaper and a Canadian brand. I took their advice, and sure enough, the results were spectacular, and the increased FOV was exactly what I wanted. AND I saved 100! That's what putting the customer first looks like. I've been going here whenever I have needed something for my telescope and I would never consider shopping elsewhere.
I bought 2 Telescopes and many accessories from KW, I love this place 10 out of 10 from me.
My wife and I are both novices and after talking with both Brian and Shannon purchased a Celestron. Have gone back a few times and got lenses and filters. They both talked us through what we may want to do. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. They are worth the trip from out of town.
Customer service here is top notch. Unfortunately I didn’t get any of the employees names but each individual I dealt with was great. My 4 year old son wanted a telescope for Christmas and it proved to be very difficult to secure one after calling multiple locations across Canada. I went to KW Telescope and they let me know they were expecting an order on the Friday before Christmas and they can secure a beginner telescope for my son. Unfortunately Friday came and went and I called on Tuesday the 22nd, and was told the order had t come in yet. Instead of making excuses and blaming logistics or simply saying it’s a busy time of year, they took full ownership and rented a truck in order to drive and pick up a bunch of orders so those waiting on gifts could have their orders on time! Some businesses would place blame on logistics and circumstances out of their control but KW telescope went above and beyond to fulfill their customers needs. Don’t hesitate to go to KW telescope, you won’t be disappointed. I look forward to my son opening the gift he wanted so badly. Thanks!
Loved it! The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. I went in knowing what I wanted but needed an idea of the size and weight. They were happy to help, and happy to give this amateur stargazer pointers for good locations. They were not only a great representation of their business but for the stargazing community.
