One doesn't know how good they have it until they leave No complaints about the food. Good variety and delicious The staff go above and beyond to help you. Great people The residence is clean and cheerful I'm sorry I had to leave

My mother moved into Chartwell Westmount in the midst of the covid pandemic. We could not go into the building with her. Enter John Whiting the intake manager. John did everything for mother. He got her moved in, checked on her well being constantly and became our family's point person for information. Above and beyond doesn't adequately cover all he did for us. Every member of the staff at Chartwell epitomizes what the highest level of care and compassion is. We have still not been able to take a tour inside however our mother's attitude about every facet of living at Chartwell is extremely positive. She speaks especially highly of the quality and quantity of the meals served. My mother and our family feel extremely lucky that \we\ got to Chartwell Westmount as her retirement residence. The level of compassion shown by all the staff is extremely high. The level of care from the nurses and PSWs is equally high but the \kicker\ for us is that our main contacts, John and the general manager Cathy Schalk combine common sense with the aforementioned attributes. If you are looking for a retirement home you will not find a better place than Chartwell Westmount.

My Mom has been there for 7 months and has improved amazingly! Her cognitive functions are much better, perhaps due to established routines. She was down to an alarming 86 lbs and has gained 20 lbs since being here. The nurses and PSWs provide great care! The small neighbourhoods make connection with other residents possible. The management has handled any concerns in a very timely and caring manner. I highly recommend this place!
