Took my 16 year old daughter in to get her nose pierced. She was pretty nervous about how much it would hurt. First of all I don't know any other shop the does a topical freezing for this, so that alone was worth my 5 star rating, but he was so patient and explained everything step by step. He showed each piece being opened and all the extra pieces being disposed of. She didnt even no he was done when it was over! I will never go anywhere else for a piercing.

My experience with my nose piercing at Blackstar Body Piercing was very positive. Roger (the owner), explained from start to finish the procedure he was going to do, taking extreme care in the handling of the tools needed to do the piercing and discarding of said tools after the piercing was completed. He advised me to not look at websites as the care is actually very simple. Follow your typical daily skin care routine of washing your face and don't touch or play with the piercing; just keep it clean. Very happy with the outcome. Thanks, Roger
Had such a positive experience with Blackstar! My 7 year old got her ears pierced, and he did a great job explaining everything to her and making her comfortable. It all felt very professional, and I wouldn't hesitate to return in the future.
My friends and I had a horrible piercing experience at Mutiny.(you can see my one star review on their page). We went to Mutiny the next day for my other friends piercing and they were closed, even though we were told they would be open and their website said they were open as well. When we went to Mutiny the day after where my first friend got her piercing. So we decided to go here. He is an absolute wonderful man he told us what was happening and the place was clean and he was very educated in his craft. He was very patient with my friend, telling her take her time doing it and getting over her nerves. She loved it once it was done. He looked at my first friend's piercing and confirmed our bad feelings about it. When we told him the things that they were doing at the other shop, to say he was horrified was an understatement. He also offered to look at hers if any problems arised because there is no way we are going back to that other place. He was so sweet and understanding and wonderful thank you for everything.
By far the best piercing experience I've ever witnessed! Brought my 8 year old child in for ear piercing and the entire process was explained to them. My child was made to feel comfortable and the process was seemingly pain-free! A true professional in the industry! I can't say enough good things about this place! Clean, knowledgeable, and informative.
This was my own personal experience, so just as a warning: I got my helix pierced here two months ago. The piercing itself was done well, had a good position and the entire process was very hygienic. However aftercare was not handled well, the piercer told me not to touch or clean the piercing at all after the first four days (mild soup and water once a day only). I had doubts about his instructions for aftercare but he seemed confident, so I followed his directions precisely. Unfortunately my piercing got infected MULTIPLE times, I even went back four times for follow ups/consultations and was not given any helpful advice besides warm compresses, which didn’t do much. I ended up with an infected cartilage, two cysts and had to remove my piercing.
I was reading through reviews because I’m looking for a place to get my second holes done, and I just remembered I got a nose piercing here almost 4 years ago!! This shop is very clean and santitary. I would definitely recommend going here, the owner is very nice and he gives great advice for after care (which wasn’t much at all!) and my nose piercing healed very nicely! I did have a bumb appear beside my piercing, as I touched it a few times while healing but the owner explained this to me and warned me, but this was totally my fault and I think the rest of these reviews should take blame as they probably didn’t follow his instructions and advice for aftercare. I still love my piercing to this day! I would definitely come back here! Thank you so much!!
I've had many piercings done before (different parlor), which all resulted in the same kind of infection. Staff provided me with reassurance that this infection was caused by an error in after care. He answered all of my questions with confidence and did an amazing job at calming me down. Would highly recommend!
